  1. I’ve gotten graduation-related sales pitches mailed to my house addressed to my “Parents/Guardians” from both @CMLIFE and @cmualumni in the past week.

      Assuming the home/permanent address of a graduate is their parent’s is probably OK normally, but the university definitely has enough data at their disposal to realize that’s probably not the case for me.

          All of those things individually make it less likely that what I list as my permanent address is my parent’s address to one extent or another, and taken together make it extremely unlikely.

            This is how naïve targeting falls down, and is a perfect example of how organizations need to use all the data available to them when making decisions.
